Happenings in July - Maybelline Baby Lips SPF20 Lip Balm + Kungfu Paradise + HongPeng's Birthday + Gala Premiere of "Brave" Movie

Sunday 1/7/12

I have been using Maybelline New York Baby Lips for the past two months and I'm in loved with it. It protects and moistures my lips for full 8 hours with SPF 20, leaving my lips hydrated.
Baby Lips balm is available in 4 different flavours:

- Anti-Oxidant Berry
- Energising Orange
- Relieving Menthol
- Smoothing Cherry

And I have gotten Maybelline New York Baby Lips SPF20 Lip Balm Relieving Menthol.

Baby Lips is the next generation of lip balm from Maybelline New York.
It achieved adult strength care for baby soft lips.

I loved the product design. Green and blue colour combination looked really pretty.

Application

Apply the lipcolor by starting in the center of your upper lip. Work from the center to the outer edges of your lip, following the contours of your mouth. Then glide across the entire bottom lip.

Reapply when lips are exposed to strong sun for maximum protection.
Baby Lips was easily glided with no stickiness and leave a mint sensation on my lips.

After regular use, my lips condition has visibly improved.
Fine lines and cracks had reduced, leaving my lips moisturized.
One of the reason I liked Baby Lips is because it has SPF 20 which helped to protect my lips from the harmful rays.
Not only that, it increased the suppleness of my lips.

All right, after applying the light makeup and lip balm. I'm all ready to head out a sunny afternoon.

Saturday 7/7/12

Met up with clique for a dinner gathering on a random weekend at Bugis+. Trying out Kungfu Paradise for my very first time. A relaxing place where you can spend hours chilling out with buddies over tasty Chinese and Western snacks or dishes.

I ordered Korean instant noodles

GF ordered the toast for us to share (:

William ordered Mango Craze Ice for us to share too!!!

Happy Hongwei, Terence and Yufan after the dinner.

I loved custard bun, love the part where the salted egg flow out. Delicious!!!

A satisfied us after the meal.
A simple and nice gathering to end off my weekend.

11/7/12 - Wednesday

Specially choose the venue at Fish and Co @ The Glass House because the crew will all gathered around at the birthday boy and sing him their version of happy birthday.
A good place to hold celebration for your friends.

More prawnsssssss!!!

A free dinner treat does not come easily.
Tasks were being set aside for HP to accomplish.

He had to choose a number from 1 to 10. After which, a QR code was given to him and he will scan it and unveiled the tasks.
So the task was:

Do a shoutout to all the people in the restaurant that it is your Birthday today and get them to sing along the Birthday Melody.

Yeah, and so he went up to the stage and get everyone to sing along with us the birthday melody.
You deserved this dinner treat.

We got him a lovely fruit cake.

Chill out session at Alley Bar where everyone bond together, we shared our jokes and some silly stuffs with one another, and the "Thor" fever that got us mind wrecking. We had so much fun and laughter.

Happy birthday to HP! Hope that you have enjoyed yourself in this special day and may all your wishes come true!!!

22/7/12 - Sunday

So before the start of the movie, we went for some photo-taking session of at the "BRAVE" activities corner. This poster was so cute - Merida with the 3 cute bear cubs.

Passionate and fiery, Merida is a headstrong teenager of royal upbringing who is struggling to take control of her own destiny. With a spirit as vibrant as her untamed hair, Merida also has a softness of heart, especially when it comes to her wee triplet brothers. As the daughter of the King and Queen, her life is weighted with responsibilities and expectations, causing her to yearn to preserve her freedom and independence.

With GF. I looked so cui without any makeup.

Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land. Merida's actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it's too late.

Rating of the movie: 4/5

Brave is an entertaining and yet meaningful film. Pixar film is never disappointing. I'm so glad that I did not apply any makeup because I teared while watching the film. The focus of the mother-daughter bond touched my heart. Often at times, we faced in the same situation of having misunderstandings and conflicts with our parents. The movie taught us a good lesson of effective communication. Though we should always listen to what our parents say, but parents should also listen to what their children have to say in order to know what we are actually thinking about. Communication is not just a one-way process, it is a two-way communication.

Do catch Disney • Pixar’s BRAVE in cinemas this 8 August 2012.

"Fate be changed, look inside, mend the bond torn by pride."
