V 10 Plus Anti-Ageing Workshop

Are you afraid of ageing?

Growing up and growing old is part of our life cycle. Ageing is never scary, but the trick is to age gracefully and beautifully.

Women started ageing in our mid 20s and we needed anti-ageing products to better take care of our skin. Let V 10 Plus shows you their amazing products and their benefits:

Amazed by the Beauty industry, V 10 Plus serums has won plenty of Beauty Awards worldwide by well-known magazines and the business had expanded to 16 countries through beauty salons, dermatologist, Pharmacies companies and skin doctors worldwide including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Brunei, Hong Kong, Philippines, Latvia, Finland, Romania, Russia, Azerbaijan, Poland, Australia and USA.

V 10 Plus ensures that highest quality are delivered to cater to all skin needs and result has proven.

Having beautiful skin can be a dream come true by using the 10 serums that cater to different skin needs.

Without any further ado, let's began the workshop.

With GF at the workshop to learn more about the amazing water-based serum.

We had Mrs Akiko Yokota, V 10 Plus's founder, to open the ceremony.

She had shared with us that having beautiful skin is not by applying tons of makeup on our face to conceal the flaws, having beautiful skin is to have clean, bright, glowing skin without any makeup.

We had a guest who came all the way from Finland too. V 10 Plus is loved by everyone world-wide.

We had Mr Elias Tam, well-known Aesthetics doctor in Singapore.
He had shared with us that some  of the causes of ageing is sun exposure, nutrition, sleeping position, smoking and facial expression.

Regular exposure to the sun is harmful to our body. It weakened our cells, making them losing the repair ability and break down collagen. In the long run, our skin will be loose and wrinkles. Therefore, always remember to put on sun protection in the daylight.

If you don't believe, you can compare your face to one of your body parts that hardly expose to the sun, say your backside. Isn't the skin at your backside very smooth?

Sometimes when we sleep with our face on the pillow, we will wake up with sleep lines the next day. These sleep lines will then eventually lead to wrinkles. I think I need to adjust my sleeping position from now onward.

Start prevention early for a healthier looking skin.

The number 10 in the V10 plus series means :
1. no paraben
2. no artificial color
3. no mineral oil
4. no chemical fragrance
5. water based
6. customized serums for 10 skin problems
7. dermatologist tested
8. visible results in just 10 days
9. color theraphy from colorful bottles.
10. made in japan
V 10 Plus has different range of products to suit the needs of everyone. For instance, they have basic care (cleansing, white gel and sunblock), special care (water based peeling, night cream and water mask) and luminous care (brightening).

We bagged home with 2 of their wonder products - V 10 Plus Collagen Serum and Brightening Cleanser.

V 10 PLUS Collagen Serum.
It strengthens the foundation of your skin.

Collagen dominates about 80% of dermis and keeps the elasticity and juvenility of the skin. It decreases after your mid-20s, so we have to replenish collagen to keep your skin looking young.

Collagen is good for wrinkles and elasticity. Also, it contains marine elastin which helps to regain soft skin with this combination.

V 10 Plus Brightening Cleanser.
Clearer skin day after day.

Brightening gel cleanser helps to cleanse impurities thoroughly without ripping off the skin’s natural moisture film. It promotes brightening for a clear and luminous complexion. It brightens dull-looking skin caused by external environmental pollution, improve skin barrier function and moisturise the skin to keep it clean, smooth and supple.

Thanks V 10 Plus for organising the workshop. The information is very useful and I have gain knowledge about ageing. I will be doing a review on the products after I used it. Stay tuned.

Lee Kwang Soo Fan Meeting In Singapore

Something kept me excited for the night to come!

It's Lee Kwang Soo first Fan Meeting in Singapore.
I was so happy and thrilled about it.
I get to know Lee Kwang Soo through the famous Korean Variety Show, Running Man, which I started watching from the start of 2012 and I love it since then. Every episode never fail to get me bursting into laughter. I like the episode on Olympic:  Running Man cast vs idol group and also the one with Girls Generation. Share with me which is your favourite episode.

The Fan Meet was held at Festive Grand Theatre @ Resorts World Sentosa.
Though I had been to RWS countless of time, but this was my first time going to Festive Grand Theatre.

I must say we are indeed the lucky group of people because Kwang Soo had dedicated his first ever overseas fan meeting to Singapore. He is also the third Running Man member that came to Singapore. Didn't had the chance to meet Kim Jong Kook and HaHa previously, I was elated to have the opportunity to come for this.

We settled ourselves down inside the Festive Grand Theatre. It was really huge.

After rounds of cheering, our Asia Prince was finally out with the song "Hug" by TVXQ.

Kwang Soo had attracted 1,300 fans that night with a well mix of guys and girls. Usually when I went for kpop fan meet, 90% of the fans were mainly girls. But for Kwang Soo, it is a totally different case. Regardless of young and old, male or female, everybody just love him.

How could he not show his signature robot dance when coming to Singapore?
He never failed to charm the audience with his little action.

Kwang Soo was very nervous that day. He was caught laughing in embarrassment in between his performances and saying "I am sorry!"

That was really cute of him.

All right, time for fans interacting session.
Kwang Soo will be demonstrating 5 different pose and the audience will learn these five signature move along with him.

The last pose was heart. The fans did it well.

After which , the audience had all stand up to play a game with Kwang Soo.

It's a telepathy game. Kwang Soo was back facing the audience and the audience will have to guess which pose Kwang Soo will be doing. Those who did not guess correctly will be eliminated from the game. The game went on and on until the last 10 fans standing. They won themselves a photo-taking with their idol.

Do you know that Kwang Soo can play keyboard?
He then serenade the fans with his second song - “Because I love you”.

It's time for a little chat and understand Kwang Soo better.

Facts about Lee Kwang Soo:

 - Standing at a height of 1.9 meters tall.
- Has a younger sister.
- Do not play guitar.
- Good at drinking.
- Allergic to gingko nuts.

Though he may not has the look like those kpop idol groups, but Kwang Soo has his own charm that draws me towards him.

Knowing that their youngest member had traveled to Singapore alone for his first fan meet, the Running Man members each has a message for Kwang Soo.

I like Gary's message, so cute. He wanted us to have fun together with the Giraffe, betrayer Kwang Soo.

Kim Jong Kook previously held a fan meeting in Singapore. He said that he was warmly welcome and felt really happy. He believed Kwang Soo was having the same feeling right now.

That was really so nice of them.

During Kwang Soo's last song "I Believe",  he surprised the fans by walking up to the audience seat. Omg, I was really lucky. I managed to shake hand with Kwang Soo. Super happy!!

Another memorable thing we did for him that day was our Singapore famous "Kallang Wave". He had even recorded down the video of "Kallang Wave" in his mobile phone and he is gonna bring it back to show the Running Man casts.

Kwang Soo ended off the fan meet by thanking all the fans for coming down to support him and creating a memorable experience for him.

Hope to see Kwang Soo back in Singapore again. Thanks for the great night.

Lunch at Yum Cha

So happy that weekend was finally here, it's time for gathering session with my friends. We had lunch gathering at Yum Cha Restaurant @ Chinatown. I have been craving for dim sum for a long time, got to satisfy my cravings all at this lunch.

Yum Cha is a Chinese restaurant that is well known for our mouth-watering dim sum delicacies. Push carts, wooden chairs and round marbled tables bring back good old nostalgia of Chinese tradition, ensuring that we had a memorable dining experience.

The main purpose of the lunch gathering was to have a get together with Hongwei, who was just back from his National Service in Brunei. So nice to see him again after our last meetup during Chinese New Year period.

Here were some of our picks from the push carts:

Scallop dumpling.

Scallops in yam Ring.

Char Siew Chee Cheong Fun.
So smooth and silky.

Har Gau (shrimp dumplings).
The dumpling is juicy good.

My favourite Xiao Long Bao. I enjoyed how the soup came bursting out after the first bite and you sip it dry. So shiok!

Fried Scallop Rolled w Filo Dough.
I like the flaky filo dough, it is so crispy.

It was a nice lunch and gathering where we reminisce the old good times. Yum Cha is definitely the place to go for bonding session with friends or family. Look forward to our next meetup.

Parted with them after the lunch as I needed to do some stuffs before my next appointment in the evening.
Good bye.

Spice Brasserie's Buffet Affair at PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road

I made my first visit to Spice Brasserie @ PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road which is situated along the straits of Singapore’s ethnic district, Little India.

I was awed by the wide spread of local and international cuisines that were available for grab. You should really come try it.

A couple of weeks ago, PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road has announce the appointment of Frederick Kho as Executive Chef to oversee all culinary operations of the 534-room hotel including Spice Brasserie, Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant, Chances Lounge and banqueting functions.

I was here at Spice Brasserie, I can't wait to try the renowned Penang Affair and Crazy Crab Night buffet that Chef Frederick prepared.

Executive Chef Frederick brings more than 20 years of culinary experience in luxury hotels across Asia. Prior to joining PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road, he served as an Executive Chef at the Golden Sands Resort by Shangri-la in Penang, Malaysia. He has also held positions in Shangri-la Hotel Singapore, Hilton Hotel Petaling Jaya, Ritz Carlton & Resident Suites Malaysia, The Regent Hotel, Kuala Lumpur and Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

Chef Frederick has now unveiled a series of delectable buffets at Spice Brasserie, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant.

Usually when I go for buffet, I will always go for the cold plate like sushi and sashimi first. But this time round, I started off with their Penang delights.

For a taste of Penang’s renowned hawker fare, tuck into the Penang Affair buffet with favourites such as Char Kway Teow, Assam Laksa, Penang Prawn Mee, Oyster Omelette and Penang Rojak. This is available from Mondays to Thursdays for lunch and dinner.

The chef was preparing my Char Kway Teow.

The yummilicious Char Kway Teow that I highly recommend. It is a must-try at Spice Brasserie.
The noodles were accompanied with the fried egg, fresh prawns, crispy beansprouts, cockles and chinese sausages.

Assam Laksa.

The way to eat assam laksa is to eat it while it is hot. The laksa has a trio combination of spicy, sweetness and a little sourish, giving it its aromatic flavour.
Crab lovers will go crazy on Friday nights when they can enjoy unlimited servings of crab dishes freshly prepared in ten different styles, ranging from Chilli Crab, Kam Heong Crab, Golden Cheese Crab, Nyonya Chilli Crab, Sarawak Black Pepper Crab, Masala Crab, Salted Egg Yolk, Steamed Ginger Crab, Ginger and Scallion Crab and Braised Crab with Glass Noodles.

The sauces are meticulously prepared from scratch and the mud crabs are steamed to preserve their original juiciness and sweetness.

My favourite of all is still the chilli crab.

Usually I will prefer to use utensil to eat rather than using my barehand. But eating crab is totally different. You have to use your hand in order to really taste the goodness in it.

I love eating the fried bun that was toppled with the chilli crab sauce. It was a joyful affair while eating it - the hot and savoury fusion.

The cold plate was next. Indulge in the fresh seafood that includes tiger prawns, mussels, salmon and etc.

Sushi is a must have for me in every buffet.

You might be familiar with all these: braised chicken claw, luncheon meat and stewed egg. The dishes that you will go along with teochew porridge.

A very unique cuisine served at buffet. I am sure if I brought my family here, they will love the teochew porridge very much. It is simple yet delectable fare.

How about a bowl of rojak?\

Pastries time. The wide selection of pastries and cake got me drooling.
The apple strudel was soft on the inside and surrounded by a crispy layer outside.

Always save some room for dessert.
You will not be disappointed because they were simply yummy and delicious. I wish I had space for more.

The cream puff was totally awesome.

My favourite nonya kueh. I love the Kueh salat kaya where the pandan coconut milk custurd is fused with glutinuous rice.

Executive Chef Frederick had come out to say hi to us.
Chef Frederick has a wealth of knowledge in contemporary and traditional cuisines, with a speciality in Asian fare. He is adventurous in trying new dishes. We hope to try more of your new dishes (:

I had blueberry and vanilla ice-cream to end off my sumptuous dinner.
I left Spice Brasserie with a bloated stomach and happy feeling, my cravings had all been satisfied. I will come back and visit Spice Brasserie soon again.
