Beauty and the Beast Movie Review + Bedok 85 Food Hunt

Journey to the east.

Made our journey to Golden Village @ Tampines Mall for movie. My first time there for movie, I don't really like their cinema theatre because it has limited space for leg room. It was quite unbearable for me especially when my movie duration was over 2 hours.

Beauty and the Beast

The Disney movie is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs.

Do expect lots of songs in between the movie as it is a remake of the animated musical.

Same as the fairytale, Belle (starred by Emma Watson) sacrifices herself to save her father who is trapped by the Beast (starred by Dan Stevens) in his castle.

Dislike the Beast in the first place, after getting to know the Beast better, they grow closer and closer with one another.

Another reason why I want to watch the movie is because of Emma Watson. She is so beautiful and stunning.

I grew up reading fairytale story books and I love all these fairytale.
Beauty and the Beast is therefore not something unfamiliar for me. The movie has not much difference from the original story and it got us connected even though we know what will happen next.

I like how Belle fall in love with the Beast, not based on his looks but truly in love with who the Beast is. He treats her with care and love, letting her do her favourite things, save her from danger and truly want her to be happy. All these little actions touched Belle and gradually falling in love with the Beast.

It's still a nice movie afterall.

Rating: 3.5/5

After the movie, bf and I headed down to Bedok 85 @ Fengshan Centre for dinner. Bedok 85 food centre is one best hawker centre located in the east. This was my first time here, I rarely travel over to the east.

One thing I like about dining at hawker centre is the diverse choices available. From Chinese cuisine to Malay, Indiain, Japanese, Western, Thai and etc. So many different choices to choose from, one can definitely find our own favourite.

Sugar cane drink to ease our thirst.
So hot and thirsty.

I tried the Hokkien Mee, one of the famous dishes over at  Bedok 85. It was nice and juicy with the gravy being absorbed into the noodles.

We have sambal stingray that is just located besides the Hokkien Mee.
The stingray was soft and the sambal has enhanced the flavour of the stingray, giving it an extra kick of spiciness.

We also ordered a plate of salted egg chicken, it tasted nice and crispy. But after eating for awhile, I started to get sick of the taste and stop for it. We shouldn't have ordered this, we were bloated by then.

Here's how I spend my weekend, hope you guys have a great weekend too.
