Dell's redesigned Exclusive Store at Funan Mall

Dell Singapore relaunched its Exclusive Store at Funan Mall, following two weeks of intensive renovation.

The store’s new interior design will deliver a new, refreshed concept store that sports simpler, contemporary yet bolder interior designs. The store is the first in the world to match Dell’s global retail brand identity guidelines, developed in 2012 as a standard for all flagship stores around the world.

Thanks Dell for the invitation to the re-opening of Dell exclusive store. We are first few people who had the opportunity to catch the first look of the store.

Time for ribbon cutting ceremony. Let's invite out the ribbon cutter.

With the ribbon cutting ceremony, the Dell exclusive store is officially opened.

And we had lion dance troupe to grace the grand opening.

It symbolised a new beginning and may it brings fortune to the store.

I always loved to watch lion dance performance, it never fails to create the joyful atmosphere and everyone enjoy it.

Do you enjoy watching lion dance performance too?

Yeah, we welcomed good luck and fortune ahead.

Upon entering the store, we were "wow" by the changes being made to the store.
The refreshing and colourful concept brings out the liveliness of the store and will definitely attract the crowds, especially the youths.

Do you see a significant changes if you compare it with the "old" Dell's store?
It seems like those normal typical computer electronic store right?

Aimed at creating a more consistent global brand and shopping experience for its customers, the new look takes on a distinctive customer-centric approach, complete with experience suites that allow customers to experience technology as they would in real life.

The Funan store is the first Dell Exclusive Store in the world to adopt the company’s new global retail brand guidelines.

I want to bring this home to play car racing games.
There is no need to visit arcade to play the games.
Cool right?

The gaming device - Alienware.

Dell’s new store design brings a great shopping experience to the consumers, whether you have a specific product in mind, or just casually browsing. Don't you agree?

The lovely cupcakes with the alphabets D-E-L-L.

Positively Teal - Ovarian Cancer Awareness Campaign

Do you know that Ovarian Cancer is the 5th most common cancer, and is also one of the deadliest Gynecological cancer among Singapore women today?

1 in 80 women faces ovarian cancer in their lifetime.

Every woman needs to educate ourselves by learning about the signs and symptoms.

So today I will be sharing with you about what I had learnt at Positively Teal

Positively Teal is a Ovarian Cancer Awareness Campaign to:
- encourage everyone to spread the awareness of Ovarian Cancer to friends and family members;
- help women be more aware of the signs and symptoms of Ovarian Cancer and
- to take positive steps to consult a doctor immediately should they experience any symptoms.

Early detection can increase the chances of survival and improve the quality of life.

Let Dr. Timothy Lim, Deputy Head and Senior Consultant of Pre-Invasive Disease & Screening Unit, Department of Gynaecological Oncology from KK Women's and Children's Hospital, to share with us about Ovarian Cancer.

What is Ovarian Cancer?
Ovarian cancer is a malignant tumor in one or both ovaries.

Who are at risk?
- Women with few pregnancies or who have never been pregnant (more ovulation cycle)
- Family history of the disease
- High fatty diet
- Early menarche and late menopause (more ovulation cycle)

What are the symptoms?
- Bloated feeling in the abdomen
- Change in bowel habits
- Indigestion
- Symptoms related to the kidney or bladder
- Abnormal vaginal bleeding
- Pain in the abdomen
- Enlarged abdomen from the tumour
- Loss of weight
- Backache or pain in the legs
- Urinary complaints

These symptoms may not be very specific. Ovarian Cancer is usually being detected only in the 3rd or 4th stage, it might be a little too late to seek for help. So if we are feeling unwell, always remember to consult a doctor early.

Executive Pastry Chef of Canele Patisserie Chocolaterie, Christophe Grilo also showed his support to the campaign. He will be conducting macaroon workshop in the upcoming June.

Teal coloured macaroon to match with the theme.
The macaroon tasted really good with the chocolate filling in it.

Time for a group conversation with:

Dr. Timothy Lim, Deputy Head and Senior Consultant of Pre-Invasive Disease & Screening Unit, from KK Women's and Children's Hospital.

Ms. Pauline Yu, Ovarian Cancer Survivor.

Ms. Diana Ser, Spokeperson & Media Personality.

Ms. Desiree Lai, Former Radio Personality.

Pauline had shared with us her story on Ovarian Cancer and how she overcome it with her positive attitude.

She is recovering well from her operation and chemotherapy. I admired her positive attitude.

Learn to recognize early warning signs and go for regular checkups and screenings.

Together with you and I, we could spread the awareness and make a difference in our lives.
