Product Review: Cosmo Prime Air Purifier with Highest 3-in-1 HEPA Filter Grade

This year has been an exceptional year for all of us where we mostly stay at home compared to any other years and my work allows me to work from home too. Since I am spending so much time at home, I also make use of the time at home to do many online purchases to turn my home into more conducive environment.

Do you know that the air inside our home can be more polluted than the air outside?

This is something I discovered when working from home because the air indoor is often polluted by dust building up in my home especially around the book shelf area and the fan. To enjoy cleaner and fresher air at home, air purifier is the best tool that we can have in our home. I was elated that Cosmo Prime Air Purifier has been a great help since it arrived at our home.

Cosmo is Singapore's number 1 air purifier.
With Cosmo Prime Air Purifier at home, we can minimise our exposure to air pollution with a powerful durable fan, proper sound insulation, and a multi-layered, multi-functional filter.

Cosmo offers free same day delivery within Singapore with delivery slot of 2pm to 6pm or 6pm to 10pm.

I like that the air purifier is not too space consuming (Width: 27cm, Length: 30.3cm, Height: 49.7 cm) and it can fit perfectly in living room, bedroom or work room.

The air purifier comes with a foldable handle that make it easy to carry around and place it at our ideal location.

The setup of Cosmo Prime Air Purifier is simple as I just follow the instruction from the instruction manual.

First is to open up the back cover, remove the plastic wrap from H13 HEPA Filter, place it back and close the cover.

Cosmo Prime Air Purifier contains the highest 3-in-1 HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) filter grade which are designed to filter 99.97% of air pollutants in the air, up to 0.1 microns. HEPA filter makes up of 3 layers:

1st: Pre filter to block large suspended particles like hair, dust, lint and fur.
2nd: H13 HEPA filter to remove micron particles such as bacteria, pollen, pet dander and dust mites.
3rd: Activated Carbon filter to neutralises odours in the air and absorb formaldehyde.

One thing to highlight is that the 3-in-1 HEPA filter (price: $130) should be change every 6-12 months, depending on air quality and usage. It may seem a little pricey at one glance, but if we break down the cost by months, it is about $10 a month, then our wallet won't feel so painful.

Though there is no button, the panel is actually touch sensitive, so we just clicked at the wording so the air purifier will be activated. When we switched on, the LED light will light up in different colours during the start up process. After which, the particle count sensor will measure PM2.5 particles in the air and reflect the air quality through the different LED light colours.

Blue: Good air quality
Yellow: Fair air quality
Red: Poor air quality

I'm great that I am blessed with good air quality at home.
The LED light also served as night light for those who does not prefer complete darkness when sleeping. It is equipped with silentmotor VX which allows the air purifier to function quietly (softer than whisper) without disturbing our deep sleep.

Being Wifi-enabled, Cosmo Prime Air Purifier allows us to connect the device to our mobile phone. Be sure to download the free smart mobile application  from iOS and Android called "Smart Life" app which helps to control and mange the air purifier remotely using our mobile phone.

The mobile app will display the real-time air quality. Lower number means the air quality is better.

"Smart Life" app has the same functions as touch sensitive panel. The app allows us to control the switch, mode, countdown and setting.

For mode, there are 4 options available:
- Auto
- High
- Medium
- Sleep

I normally went for Medium mode during the day time while I was working and I will set the timer to be turn off after 4 hours.

Another point to highlight is the "Anion Mode" function which will release healthy anions (negative charge ion) into the surroundings. Anions can be only be found in countryside area such as forest, mountains, oceans and etc. Anion has the ability to enhance immunity, relieve allergies, lift our mood and promote deep sleep.

Cosmo Prime Air Purifier uses trademarked technology and smart design to provide a long-lasting, silent and powerful air purifier. The usual price of Cosmo Prime Air Purifier is $538, it comes with 5 years warranty and free same day delivery. Cosmo is currently having black Friday weekend sales and you can now purchase it at $399 (26% discount).

The purchase comes with 20 days free trial where you can return the product to receive a full refund with no questions asked.

Thanks Best in Singapore for the recommendation.

The sleek and modern design of Cosmo Prime Air Purifier makes it looked elegant and added charm to our home atmosphere. Cosmo Prime Air Purifier provides coverage area up to 80m², so we don't need to stay very close to where the air purifier is placed in order to enjoy fresher air.

With the help of Cosmo Prime Air Purifier, the fresher air gives us a good reason to stay home. It provides a more relaxing and calming environment for my family to chill at home.

Happenings in October and November - Paddyfolks + Gocha Bar + Rebond Protein Beauty Review

Friday 2/10/20

Birthday celebration always give us the perfect reason to call for a meetup, this time round was to celebrate Tracy's belated birthday together with Meryl and GF. September had been a busy month for us, hence we only scheduled the meetup in October.

As usual, I took half day leave so that I can be on time, just in case I was being called for an impromptu discussion in the evening.

As the birthday girl wanted to try Paddyfolks, we fixed our dinner date at Paddyfolks @ Funan Mall.

Paddyfolks serves up a Japanese-Western Fusion bowl where they set on the flair of light cooking of Japanese cuisine and using sous-vide techniques common in Western dining.

Our dinner were served. Meryl and Tracy opt for pasta while GF and I opt for rice bowl. The food looked really sumptuous and well-balanced, we can't wait to dig in. Tracy used her entertainer app which offer 1 for 1 promotion and our bill turned out to $.845 per pax.

I had Teriyaki Salmon Bowl where the salmon fillet had a sweet and savoury taste from the teriyaki sauce dressing, served alongside with Japanese white rice, greens, sweet corn, cherry tomatoes, onsen egg, nori flakes, tobiko and sesame seeds.

Thanks Tracy for the group photo and happy belated birthday to you.
We cherished every meetup because it's always a great bonding time and indulging in delicious food. Since there was queue waiting for the seats and the time was still early, we left Paddyfolks and went over to the next store for a drink.

We settled for Gocha Bar because there is 1 for 1 promotion from Entertainer App as well. Entertainer App has really helped us save money when we hang out. Meryl and I gotten Bubble Milk Tea at $1.50 each after the discount.

With Meryl.

Gocha Bar is a great hang out place with friends for a drink and engage our conversation in a garden theme setting. Happy times always passed so fast, it was time to bid good bye. Look forward to our next gathering.

If you have damaged hair due to perm or colouring, mise en scene Rebond Protein is the solution for you. The products contain patented technology that strengthens hair from within with protein nutrients.

My hair has become weaker with every chemical session that I undergone yearly. Visiting hair salon for hair treatment regularly is quite a high maintenance in term of cost and time, so I really glad that to have the opportunity to try out mise en scene Rebond Protein 14 day trial kit at home which comes with shampoo and hair treatment.

The protein shampoo comes with a pleasant scent that will leave subtle fragrance after washing your hair. After shampoo, I applied rebond treatment from tip of the hair and continue my shower, before washing the treatment off.

After using it, I felt that my hair become soft and more manageable. The amount of hair fall has also reduced with the strengthening and moisturising of hair. Sometimes we just can’t afford the time to visit salon for hair treatment, we can pamper our hair with mise en scene Rebond Protein 14 day trial kit in the comfort of home, which is also more cost savings and achieve the same outcome.

Thank you 0.8L for sending the kit over.

As much as possible, I try to avoid drinking tea at night because I am afraid of insomnia especially lately where I can’t sleep well due to anxiety. One way to get a better night of sleep is to drink a cup of Good Night Tea before going to bed.

Dr Carey Tea has introduced Good Night Tea to provide consumers with high-quality sleep, and keep us in good health. I like that the tea is caffeine free and pesticide free, rich in minerals and polyphenols. The raw materials of the tea are extracted from wild plants growing in the primeval forests near the equator. They are then vacuum and airlifted to Singapore.

Tea has slowly become part and parcel of my life since working from home. Good Night Tea is a new addition to be incorporated to my daily life. I normally have it an hour after dinner and drink it slowly. Not only does it help to wash away the greasiness of the food, it helps to bring my mind into relaxation mode. My body is also at ease because I will be taking a break from whatever I am doing, just relax, enjoy the drink and the moment.

After a long day at work, time to retire to bed after a warm cup of Good Night Tea that has already put your mind and body in relaxation state.

For more information about Good Night Tea, please visit their website.

Jurassic World Cafe has arrived in Singapore, time to immerse and get close up with the dinosaurs at pop up themed cafe located at Ion Sky.

The experience of Jurassic World began when we took the lift from level 4 to 55. The lift was decorated with poster of the dinosaur.

Checking out the view of Orchard from level 55. It was raining the entire day and some of the views were obstructed by fog. Though raining, Ion Sky is a nice place to chill while indulging with food and admiring the bird's eye view of Singapore from level 55.

Lego dinosaur spotted.
I felt that the decoration was too little for a themed cafe and the theme was not incorporated into the food presentation as well.

Each table was given 1.5 hours slot to have the meal from 3pm to 4.30pm. We were just here for dessert so the timing was fine for us.

I was having Lava Flow ($16+). It looked like a volcano located on a piece of chocolate soil. The chocolate lava will flowed out with we cut the lava cake opened.

We just chill until the time was up and made our way to the second destination, Resort World Sentosa.
After settling with the errand, Ramen Dining Keisuke Tokyo stopped me in track because I was craving for ramen for a long time.

I was super thirsty by the time I settled down, so I immediately ordered a glass of Ice Green Tea ($3.50++) to ease the thirst. The Ice Green Tea made a great thirst quencher.

I had Lobster Broth Ramen with Wanton ($15.90++).
The soup boosted a rich lobster broth that was flavourful to have during a rainy weather and the ramen was very smooth. I slurped down the bowl nosily and happily.

Rainy day just made me want to stay home, time to head home after the dinner.

Dining at Xperience Restaurant at Sofitel So Singapore (Closed)

The best way to welcome the weekend is to enjoy some good food to reward ourselves for a week of hard work.

Since Circuit Breaker till now (and maybe for next few months to a year), we are not able to travel for leisure and are confined within our tiny little red dot. We started getting use to it and learning to appreciate our local gems. This gave us a good reason to explore the different parts of Singapore that we have not discovered yet or revisit the places that we haven't been for years.

Today I want to share with you a food spotting place that offers one of the best dinner spot in term of ambience, food and price.

Xperience Restaurant is located in the vibrant Central Business District (CBD) at Sofitel So Singapore.

The interior of the restaurant featured an elegant element and open concept kitchen where we can catch a glance of the chef in action.

Toast and butter were served on complimentary while waiting for our food. The toast was very crunchy and complimented well with the slab of butter.

Food Review: Mathilda's Gelato Ice Cream Delivery Singapore

With the hot and humid weather, sometimes I yearn for something cold and sweet to counter against the hot weather during my work from home days. Ice cream is the first thing that come to my mind. It has been nearly half a year since I last had ice cream and I really miss it. I'm so glad that Mathilda's Gelato Ice Cream Delivery is here to fulfill my craving satisfaction.

Technology has make things so convenient for us. I can have my ice cream deliver to my doorstep in one hour from order time. Mathilda's Gelato is the first ever ice cream delivery specialists in Singapore. They provide a vast array of choices from ice cream, sorbet, gelato to frozen yoghurt. without compromising on quality.

My delivery arrived at 3.55pm which was within the time slot of 3pm to 4pm.

Free delivery: For orders above $60 (from 10am to 10pm).
Standard rate of $10: For orders below $60 (from 10am to 10pm).
Express delivery of $18: Order now and receive within one hour (available 24 hours).

Out of the 43 flavours, here were the 4 flavours that I have chosen:
- Speculoos Ice Cream
-  Bubble Gum Ice Cream
- Hazelnut Cookie Dough Ice Cream
- Espresso Ice Cream

There are so many flavours available (note: some are out of stock), there is definitely something that will catch your eyes.

I was attracted to bubble gum ice cream because it is in my favourite baby pink and blue. The colours were captivating as I was drooling as I scooped the ice cream, it will turn purple when it melted.

The ice cream at Mathilda’s are freshly handmade made daily using only high quality and fresh ingredients. The milk and cream sourced are from cruelty free dairy farms.

The ice cream tasted actually like the bubble gum I used to have when I was young, the sweet and fruity taste lingered when I let the ice cream just melt in my mouth. While enjoying the cup of bubble gum ice cream, it definitely brought back the childhood memories of us enjoying our first bubble gum experience in Genting.

The espresso flavour was specially requested by my bro as he is a coffee lover.

Espresso ice cream is for people who prefer a less sweet option. Mathilda's uses premium coffee beans which are carefully roasted to bring out the aroma of the espresso. Every mouthful carried a bittersweet note with the beautiful combination of bitterness from coffee beans and sweetness from ice cream.
I did a DIY using a small cup by pouring the fresh milk to the espresso ice cream and stir it until the ice cream was fully melted. The end result was amazing, it become coffee frappe. Every sip was so smooth and brought out the distinct note of the coffee aroma.

Speculoos ice cream is possibly my favourite among the four choices. What I like about speculoos ice cream was that it contained generous amounts of crumbled Biscoff biscuit chunks, the spiced caramel, the hints of cinnamon and brown sugar. It was creamy, fragrant and delicious, the crumbled biscuit chunks gave a nice bite.

I did another DIY which was to spread the speculoos ice cream on biscuit, one of my favourite way of eating ice cream at home. This made a good tea break snack.

I tried using Bubble Gum Ice Cream and the colour sandwiched by the biscuits looked amazing. Remember to stand by a plate because the ice cream might ooze out when it was melting.

This was my second favourite ice cream flavour. With the nutty and robust flavours of hazelnut, the ice cream carried a familiar sweet taste.

The ice cream contained chunks of chocolate chip cookie dough that were hidden in the hazelnut ice cream, be sure to dig for it. Every spoonful was like a bliss, the hazelnut taste attracted us and got us digging for more. The texture of the ice cream was very smooth and soft.

Another best way to enjoy ice cream is to pair it with waffles. The combination of Hazelnut Cookie Dough Ice Cream with waffles is one of the best.

Want to enjoy your tub of ice cream without the needs to leave your home to purchase it?

Food Review: Kin Hoi Fresh Cockles at Holland Close Coffee Shop

Who doesn't love indulging in affordable and delicious food affair?

I have ventured into Holland Close for food hunt and discovered a delectable stall, Kin Hoi, that sell fresh and clean cockles. Let me share with you my seafood gastronomical experience at Kin Hoi. If you love shellfish, this is the place for you. They are available for Food Panda delivery too if you prefer to dine at home.

With the girls at Kin Hoi for an early dinner.
Thanks Tracy for the group photo and Dawn for gathering us.

The first dish we tried was the best seller, Cockles Thai Style ($8/$15).
Every cockle you see on the plate were thoroughly washed to ensure the cleanliness of the cockles and we won't get any sandy cockles.

Thumb up to the hardwork put in by Daniel and Atchara, founder of Kin Hoi, in delivering the quality food. They wake up at 6am during operating days to kickstart their food preparation and cleaning, preparing the food delivery orders for afternoon and operating the stalls from 4pm till the night ends.

The plate of cockles were accompanied with Thai Chili Sauce, the cockle was best to consume with the sauce dipped to capture the acidic and spicy flavours that complement the taste.

Look at the fresh Oysters from Japan which are only available from Friday to Sunday. Kin Hoi is selling the oysters at $3.50 per piece.

They also have oysters from Seattle Washington, USA for sale. It is priced at $19.50 for 6 pieces, available only for take away.

The plate of Oyster was captivating. You can squeeze the lemon on the oyster (optional) before consuming, this will stimulate your appetite with the acidic taste.

Use a fork to detach the flesh from the shell and slurp it down. The oyster was really fresh, juicy and irresistible. This is a must order for the seafood lovers.

Thai Vermicelli Salad ($6) was an appetising dish. The vermicelli salad was drizzled with the signature Thai chili sauce that was packed with spice and sourness. The vermicelli was very smooth and slippery. With the Thai chili sauce that coated every strand of the vermicelli, it gave a refreshing kick.

My favourite dish was Thai Honey Grilled Pork ($6/$12) which captured the combination of sweetness from honey and the savoury taste. Every piece of the grilled pork glazed shiningly, as though it was inviting me to move our chopsticks to the plate. All four of us agreed that the Thai Honey Grilled Pork pleased our palates with it's moderate sweetness and it helped to ease the spices we had from the other dishes.

One unique point about Kin Hoi is that their dishes are all served in a square plate, this is not something commonly found at other places.

Next up was Top Shell Salad ($8). The top shell was sliced into thin bite size which was very chewy and soft, the texture resembled abalone. The top shell was mixed with fresh onions and Thai chili sauce to refresh our taste buds.

My first time trying Gong Gong ($6/$12). Gong Gong is also known as sea snail. I have never eaten escargot before, so here's my first time trying a snail like dish.

The way to eat Gong Gong was to use a stick to dig out the flesh from the shell. It required a bit of technique to dig out the flesh, you might need to dig in a few times finding the spot before you can pull it out.

After pulling out the flesh, dip it into the Thai chili sauce and I'm ready to dig in. The Gong Gong was thoroughly clean too and there was no murky taste. It has a chewy texture too.

Last but not least was Mussels Thai Style ($6/$12). Over at Kin Hoi, the fresh seafood here are plentiful. The texture was slightly chewy and I like that there was no fishy taste.

We were captivated by the table full of food. Next time if you are around Holland area, come over to Kin Hou to try out the fresh seafood for yourself.

Visit Kin Hoi's Facebook page for more information.
