November is also the month known as Movember.
Movember is an annual month-long charity initiative in November that encourages men to grow a moustache (Mo) to create conversation and raise both awareness and funds in support of often-neglected men’s health issues, such as prostate and testicular cancer.
To kickstart Movember launch, Singapore’s favourite sons and football legend, Fandi Ahmad and Nazri Nasir, were at Robinsons The Heeren for the live shaves-in with Gillette.
Fandi Ahmad was the first to take up the challenge for the shave-in. Fandi ahmad is also the Movember ambassador.
Movember is present in 21 countries worldwide with the aim to driving significant improvements for men’s health issues, such as prostate and testicular cancer.
Male supporters start off the month with a clean shave-in and grow a moustache over the course of thirty days.
Grow your moustache style now. The idea is to bring about change and give men the opportunity and confidence to learn and talk about their health and take action when needed.
Fandi Ahmad has completed his shave-in.

Fandi shared that he has not grown out a Mo in a very long time, so it’ll be quite a challenge not shaving for 30 days! Nevertheless, he was thrilled to be part of a meaningful and worthy initiative.
Next up was Nazri Nasir.
Local football fans were treated to a memorable sight of footballing icons Fandi Ahmad and Nazri Nasir taking part in a live shave-in.
Gillette is the official shavecare partner of Movember.
Nazri Nasir has done with his shave too.
The funds raised from the campaign in Singapore goes towards the Singapore Cancer Society, in the areas of awareness and education, survivorship, research and health aid for men living with prostate cancer. To-date, Movember has raised over $166 million in funds to support prostate cancer research and men’s health programmes globally.
End off the post with a photo with Fandi Ahmad.
This year marked the third year of Movember campaign. It is celebrating the spirit of familiarity and national identity through a movement run by locals, for locals.
