Hong Kong Day 6: Trip to Macau + The Venetian

6 days have passed so far, just 2 more days and our Hong Kong trip is coming to an end. The weather was great today too, seems like the weather storm period has cleared. We woke up at 9am to get ourselves prepared for the day.

We got ourselves ready by 10am and ready to leave the hotel.
Our destination for today was Macau so we walked towards the direction of Mong Kok. As usual, we will walk in to one of the eateries we saw along the way for our brunch.

We stopped by Feifuji Restaurant Kitchen 肥福记餐厅小厨 and gave it a try as the food on menu seemed nice.

The interior of the restaurant made us feel comfortable, especially the seat. They were plenty of seats so no need for seat sharing.

My set comes with Ice Milk Tea and Bolo Bun with egg, a perfect breakfast to start our morning.
Hong Kong is indeed a food heaven, we can get good food everywhere.

Our bill totaled up to HKD76 (or S$13.60), we definitely cannot find such price for food in Singapore. That's why when traveling, we just keep eating and eating.

We took the MTR down to Tsim Sha Tsui (3 stops away from Mong Kok) and walked towards China Ferry Terminal which was about 15 minutes walk away.

The ferry services from China Ferry Terminal brings passengers to Hong Kong’s fascinating neighboring cities including Macau and other areas in China.

We purchased 2 tickets to Macau via Cotai Water Jet at HKD350 (or S$62.50) each ticket. Traveling to Macau is not cheap, our hope was to recoup our loss back at the casino later on. Our main objective of going to Macau was visiting to the casino.

The ferry will bring us from Hong Kong to Taipa, Macau in a comfortable and spacious cushioned seating. We purchased the tickets that depart at 12.15pm and the ride to Macau is approximately an hour.

Good bye Tsim Sha Tsui.
Since the ride was an hour and I wasn't sitting by the window seat, we have a short rest during our journey to Macau.

Another selfie. I put on my pink dress today. How do I look in pink?
Pink is my favourite colour but I don't own a lot of pink clothing because classic black still look the best.

Upon leaving the ferry terminal of Macau, there were numerous complimentary shuttle buses from different hotels waiting for us to hop on. We were spoilt for choices for the hotel to visit. In the end, we hop on to the bus that brought us to the famous Venetian Macao.

Arriving at The Venetian Macao.
Be awe when you enter the Asia's largest hotel resort and the second largest building in the world. It is the house to casino, exhibition facilities, hotel, entertainment facilities, a shopping mall and international restaurants. Everything is under one roof.

The architectural design was inspired by The Venetian hotel in Las Vegas. The resort's theme evolved around Venice, making it one of Macau's hottest tourist spots. It was owned by the American Las Vegas Sands company.

Here at the largest shopping malls in Macau, Sands Shoppes.
The Venetian is a good choice for you if you are into shopping and looking for photo worthy spot, the mall was really pretty.

Stepping into Sands Shoppes made me think of the Korean drama, Boys Over Flowers. They came to The Venetian to film the drama and on board this gondola ride, riding through the canal of the Shoppes at the Venetian. Wow, I still remembered the 2009 drama so clearly.

This sight resembled the sampan ride at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.

The trip to The Venetian was nothing but amazing, everything about this hotel was so gorgeous and incredible. It was possibly the most luxurious hotel that I ever stepped into.

We stopped by Lord Stow's Bakery and Cafe for tea break.
They are famous for their Portuguese egg tarts. To complete my trip to Macau, we can't miss out on their Portuguese egg tarts.

The egg tart has a flaky and crispy exterior with a soft and moist interior. Handle with care when consumption as the egg tart will break apart when we bite it. The texture of the egg custard was light and not too sweet, so delicious.

We also had a handmade Apple Pie for sharing.

After the tea break, we made our way towards another hotel, The Parisian Macao, also under Las Vegas Sands. It is inspired by the famed “City of Light”. Upon entering, I could feel that I was being transported to France.

The highlight of The Parisian Macao is definitely Macau Eiffel Tower, a replica of Paris' most famous icon. The large observation deck was located on the 7th floor and a small deck located on the 37th floor at the top of the tower.

Bf asked if I wanted to go up to view the scenery of Macau (ticket price: HKD100), I rejected the idea because I'm not a fan to pay for scenery if it is not something impressive. All the views look pretty much the same (buildings and houses scattered together). I rather use the money wisely for something else.

The City of Lights, the City of Love. Paris is at the heart of romance.
The replica is only a half scale of the famous Eiffel Tower's landmark. I haven't been to Paris to see the real Eiffel Tower, so here at The Parisian Macao to have a mini Eiffel Tower's experience.

We went outdoor to get a closer look.

Today's outfit was a dressy one yet comfortable one. I opt for this pink dress because of the smart casual look and comfy material.

Admiring the resort city with beautiful architecture, there is no shortage of beautiful scenery at Macau. It's a pity that we were only here for a day trip and have not fully explored the attractions of Macau.

It was a visual feast for us to visit these beautiful hotels and came across this mini Eiffel Tower. If you stay till the night, the Macau Eiffel Tower will light up in several colours, bringing the Eiffel tower light show.

We walked back to The Venetian and spent our remaining hours in the casino. That's our main objective of coming to Macau. We bet at the Sic Bo (大小) table with starting bet at HKD300. We won a bit at the start but end up losing back.

Gambling is something that I should not touch upon. Though I didn't make any loss, I kept thinking about the money that should have been mine and kept wanting to win back. I felt a little emo throughout that day. This is very dangerous and one can get addicted if we didn't stop at the right time.

It was 6.30pm and we decided to head back to Hong Kong for dinner. We waited patiently for our ferry ride at 6.45pm.

We caught sight of the sunset before we left.
Good bye, Macau. Not sure if I will be visiting Macau again because bf probably will be scared to bring me back for casino.

Bf is a fan of dim sum and we came back to Dim Dim Sum again for dinner. We love their food so much that we went back for second visit. We were famished by the time we reached here and the time was already 8.30pm by the time we reached. We tried some of the dishes that we didn't get to try the other day.

We ordered Crispy Prawn Rice Noodle Roll

Malay Steamed Cake and Braised Chicken Feet.

We met a Singaporean family sitting next to us and offered us some of their food. They are Singaporeans and migrated to Hong Kong for living. We always have free food.

Dinner was slightly more expensive than the other visit because we were hungry and ordered a lot, we didn't have a proper lunch today. The cost was HKD213 (or S$38.04).

With that, we come to an end for day 6.
Stay tune for my final post on Hong Kong.
