Rediscover S.E.A Aquarium and Lunch at Coastes Beach Bar Sentosa

It has been seven years since I last visit S.E.A Aquarium at Resort World Sentosa, so decided to use SingapoRediscovers Vouchers to revisit S.E.A Aquarium. Perhaps it was still in school holiday, Resort World Sentosa was very crowded and only 12pm to 1pm slot was available for selection. I'm really glad that our tickets entitled us to a packet of ocean bites which consists of 5 pieces nugget, so that we have some bites before having late lunch.

After finishing the ocean bites, we began the journey at Shipwreck Habitat. The first exhibit simulates how shipwrecks become home to the thriving marine habitats.

The fishes were swimming in synchronize movement, taking my breath away while I stared in awe. Though I have been to S.E.A Aquarium once, the second visit has been a refreshing experience looking at the beautifully aquascaped exhibits that replicate the animals’ natural environments.

We passed by the native species of some of the marine life found near Singapore’s waters.

The Coral Garden featured a cylindrical habitat with over 100 species of fish swimming around the artificial corals. The lighting and the colourful fishes got the visitors mesmerized by its beauty.

There was a queue forming if you want to get a closer look at the dolphins, we queued for 10-15 minutes before it was our turns to view the dolphins.

I watched the dolphins swam round and round with mixed feeling. On one side, I was happy to be able to view the aquatic mammal up close. On the other hand, they should be swimming freely in the ocean and should not be kept in a large pool.

We have came to Sea Jellies Gallery which exhibit gelatinous-like animals. One interesting fact about sea jelly is they are made up of more than 95 percent water, they don't have a heart or brain.

Sea jellies with mushroom cap, it comes with blue, white and brown colour.

The Open Ocean Habitat offers a panoramic view of the largest aquarium. This habitat is home to 120 species of animals and the water capacity is equivalent to 7 Olympic-sized pools. The underwater world was fascinating, my eyes were glued to these aquatic animals for a long time.

The Shark Seas is the last exhibit which is home to to more than 70 sharks from 12 species. Getting up close to the predators of the sea was definitely an encounter like no other.

S.E.A Aquarium is worth a visit. If you have not use your SingapoRediscovers Vouchers, why not plan a visit here?

Right after the visit, we were getting hungry so we travelled down to Beach Station for a late lunch.

Bar food is a must order when come to beach bar, hence we ordered a plate of Fries ($10++). We were so hungry that we kept munching on the thick cut fries. The basket of fries came in a generous portion too.

I decided to skip the main course and headed straight for dessert, Waffle with Ice Cream ($12++). I love their waffle very much, it was buttery and fluffy. Together with the vanilla ice cream and sauce, every bite was addictive.

It started drizzling while we had our food. To avoid getting caught in the rain, we hurried back to the Beach station when the rain stopped. It was a Saturday spent nevertheless.
