One thing I can never say no to is dessert, I always find myself looking at dessert menu instead of main course. Cake is the dessert that I have been having lately because it is one of the main highlights in birthday celebration.
I was introduced to this e-commerce site where we can purchase handmade gourmet cake online, Cake Delivery Singapore.
The team behind Cake Delivery Singapore comprises of passionate and experienced bakers who use organic and premium ingredients to provide us with the best tasting cakes. They have their own kitchens and fleet of transport to ensure we receive our delivery on time.
They understand consumer's frustration of unable to find midnight delivery or looking out for last minutes cake, but these issues can be resolved with their after hour delivery and 1 hour express delivery.
Here's what we had: Build Your Own Cake (1.5kg/10 slices of 8 inch cake).
The delivery arrived at 3.45pm which was within the selected time slot.
Free delivery: For orders above $80 (from 9am to 10pm).
Standard rate of $8: For orders below $80 (from 9am to 10pm).
S18 1 hour express delivery: Order now and receive within one hour.
$25 after hours delivery: Order now and receive within one hour (from 10pm to 6am).
When I first came cross the website, I was awe by the delicious options available and there were so many flavours that I wanted to try. If you share the same sentiment as me. Build Your Own Cake will be the best solution for you because you can choose different flavours for each of the slices.
Do note that the cake variants in the option might be differ as it is dependable on the availability of the flavour. The cake shape may be irregular as well due to the difference in size for each slice (8 inch or 9.5 inch).
Should your orders be late for more than 1 hour, full refund via store credits will be given.
Here were the 7 assorted flavours that we have chosen:
Oreo Cheesecake
My family is a fan of oreo cheesecake, hence I ordered 2 slices of it.
The oreo bits are blended into the cheese and sprinkled on top to provide a nice, consistent crunch with every bite. The cheesecake was very smooth and soft, it will be even better if the crust can be a little thicker.
The fresh blueberries were blended into a smooth homemade jam and drizzled over the airy cheesecakes. Blueberries were sprinkled on the top layer of the cake. The texture of the cheesecake was soft, creamy and moist. Even though the cheesecake was coated with blueberry jam, the cake was not too sweet.
Premium Chocolate Truffle Cake
The Chocolate Truffle Cake has a rich, oozy chocolate ganache centre that’s surrounded by fluffy, moist sponge cake. The taste of chocolate was strong, complemented from cocoa powder, bringing out the roasted flavour of the premium cocoa beans.
I love the beautiful white icing design on the top layer, the colour matched really well. The cream was smooth while the cake was spongy.
Strawberry Cheesecake
The strawberries were made into a jelly before being smoothed over the cheesecake. The top strawberry part carried a taste of tartness which went well with the airy cheesecake and soft texture crust. Recommend to share the cheesecake while indulging because it can get a little jelak to consume just on your own.
Pistachio Rose Cake
This is my favourite flavour among the assorted flavours that I ordered.
The nutty, fragrant aroma of the finely chopped roasted pistachio combines perfectly with the floral fragrance of dried rose petal. Every bite allowed us to taste the subtle floral fragrance that was really aromatic and made me regret that I didn't order more slices of Pistachio Rose Cake. The pale green cake was soft in texture, like a pillow. This is something not to be missed.
Red Velvet Cake
Red Velvet Cake is the second favourite among the assorted flavours tried. The dark red cake was very fluffy and moist. I like that the red velvet cake was not too sweet, with a hint of bittersweet cocoa powder that balanced the sweetness from the savoury-sweet cream cheese sandwiched in the sponge layers.
Premium Biscoff Cheesecake
This is my favourite among cheesecake selection. The savoury and crunchiness of the biscoff biscuit crumbs added depth to the cheesecake. I love these biscuit crumbs and the caramel notes of the biscoff cookies together with cream cheese, all these flavours provided a fragrant and delicious mouthful.
