Places to Dine Near Maxwell

Maxwell is another food spotting area where the streets are dotted with a good mix of restaurants and cafes offering different specialty. It is good to take stop along Maxwell if you are near this area to check out some of the food here. I have compiled a list of dining places that I have tried near Maxwell for your reference.

1. The Corner Grill (Closed)

We experienced excellent service from the moment we entered the restaurant. The friendly staff guided us to our seat, introduced us to their menu page by page and informed us what was unavailable.

The restaurant at level 2 featured a cozy ambience and brick wall which make the place looked like English home, it was very inviting. The restaurant can fit about 26 to 30 pax.

We were seated by the window and got the view looking out to The Pinnacle@Duxton which is one of Singapore's most expensive HDB with 50th storey high and skybridge connecting the different blocks.

I had Ice Rose Pu Erh ($6++) where the black tea was infused with a tinted fragrance of rose and a sweet aftertaste. Every sip was refreshing.

The Onion Matchsticks ($12++) with currywurst dip. It was like onion rings in the shape of fries and well flavoured with dip into the curry sauce. It also had a cripsy exterior that made the onion matchsticks very addictive.

I had Grilled Cod Fish Burger ($33++) featuring pommery-marinated cod fish, baby roma tomatoes, romaine lettuce, lemon herbed mayo and parmesan bun served alongside with fries. The cod fish contained a slight acidity with the lemon mayo added.
