Nuffnang Lovin' x Trick Eye Museum Singapore Renews

Instead of spending my usual Halloween walking the haunted trails, I have a special Halloween this year.

I spent the Halloween night at the revamped Trick Eye Museum.

I have visited Trick Eye Museum at RWS just last year, read my post here. The revamped exhibits gave me a good reason to visit Trick Eye Museum again.

Welcome to Trick Eye Museum Singapore.
So glad that we were the first few batches to experience the revamped exhibits.
Even this too, I didn't saw this Trick Eye sign during my last visit.

Thanks Nuffnang Lovin' for the invitation to Trick Eye Museum Singapore Renews.
We can't wait to explore what's new inside.

I brought Jessie along with me because she has been asking me on Halloween's plan. We had been going on haunted trails for the past 2 years together, we tried something new this time round.

When the door opened, the first new exhibit that caught my hair was the Centaur Carriage.
I always long to sit on such a carriage. Wish fulfilled.

Overcome the Supernatural, a new theme introduced.
They were just in time for Halloween.

The dark lord rises.
I'm floating in the air.

Noooo, I don't want to die.

This is not something new, but nice for photo sharing.

Volcano erupting.
Felt so despair, who can save me?

Thanks both, you two have worked hard the entire day.

The vibrant and colourful background is so endearing.

Riding a unicorn
Let fly high and take me to fairytale land.

Don't catch me

Thanks for the flower.

The new exhibits were really fascinating, it was so magical. I was so absorbed in taking the pose for the exhibits and never realised that time passed so fast. I haven't got the time to complete all. Hope to come back again soon.

It was indeed a great night spent. Thanks Nuffnang and Trick Eye Museum.

Come to Trick Eye Museum now and stretch your imagination to create new poses for the different exhibits. Best to go in groups and have fun together.

Ticket price:
Adult - $25
Children and senior citizen - $20

Nuffnang Lovin' x Criollo Cocoa Cafe

With the increasingly craze in cafe hopping, cafes are in high demand in Singapore. My Instagram timeline is always filled with foodie and latte art photos from different cafes in Singapore. Yeah, Latte Art is the in thing now! I am really amazed, how many cafes are there in Singapore? How can one has so many cafes to visit without repeating them???

Today I am going to introduce you a nice cafe to hang out at in town,
Criollo Cocoa Cafe

Criollo Cocoa Cafe is located at Orchard Gateway, a perfect hangout spot to fuel and recharge for shopping sprees. They are selling all day breakfast, burgers, waffles, ice cream and drinks.

Here's what we were having:

Piperade

The dish was prepared with baked egg, tomato, bacon and onions. It was served crispy toast. The dish was shared among groups of 4. Mine was shared between 6 person because we have a larger group.

Portobello Mushroom Burger with fries

My favourite of all because the staff prepared an additional plate for our table so Grace and I have this all to ourselves.

We were skeptical about trying the mushroom burger initially because we were so used to have a meat burger. Upon the first bite, we immediately fall in love with it. The mushroom was juicy and delicious, and the cheddar cheese enhanced the flavour of the burger. It definitely does not lose out to the meat burger. The fries on the other hand was slight salty.

Seafood Tagliatelle in Spicy Laksa Sauce

A great combination of laksa sauce together with pasta. It immediately spiced up my appetite with the laksa sauce.

After filling our stomach, we then went on for a demo session on Latte Art, an up and coming hobby that many coffee enthusiasts are taking up.

The barista was patiently teaching us the steps and technique on making our fresh cuppa.

The barista demonstrated 2 different types of latte art. The one she was currently doing was free pour. The height of pouring and control is important.

The end result.

The second one she was doing was drawing a design on the white foam.

The end result. Which design do you prefer?

Thanks Nuffnang for organising this get together session.

Nuffnang Lovin' x Freeing SG

Not long ago, I got myself hooked to the mobile game "Can You Escape". It is quite a fun and addictive game where we have to find clues and solve the puzzle in order to break out of the rooms.

And now, I have the chance to play the room escape game in reality at Freeing SG located at Bugis+.

Based on the popular “Freeing HK” model, Freeing SG gives players the experience of a lifetime as they rack their brains to escape a “real-life” situation. Inspired by virtual “Escape Room” video games and web-based browser games, Freeing SG takes the experience further by immersing players in a physical reality to solve puzzles first hand.

Freeing SG aims to add a new dimension to a Singaporean entertainment scene dominated by movies and shopping. Four to eight players are stuck in a locked room or location where their only way out is to search for clues, solve puzzles and uncover secrets within a given time limit. Say goodbye to mindless amusement – players will really need their wits about them!

Catch a glimpse of the game over here.

I was here for the challenge together with the other Nuffies. A group photo before the start of the challenge.

Presenting to you my awesome group: Zed, Candy, Peiwen, Jaslyn, me and Jiahui.
We were feeling confidence before heading to our room.

So happy to see the girls again.

With Candy and Peiwen.
I love friends who like taking photos just like me (:\

We gotten the theme room - The Unforeseeable Pyramid.
We were transported to the tomb of Pharaoh.

We were being brief about the mission that we got to complete:

Your friend went disappeared during his research in the Tomb of Pharaoh. You’ve decided to explore the mysterious tomb and enter the pyramid by knocking over every obstacles. You realised that danger is hidden everywhere. Are you ready to unveil the truth of your friend’s disappearing mystery…

This was how the surrounding in our first room looked like. We have to find clues from here and get us to the next door.

We have 45 minutes to solve the mystery.
Ready, get set, go!

At any point of time in this 45 minutes, we can press the alarm button to ask for help and clue will be given. This help button can only be used once.

The first door is always the easiest one, we solved it within 5 minutes. However, it gets harder and harder as we proceed. It really required us to crack our brains and make use of the clues we gathered. We did not managed to solve the mystery, but we were real close to solving it.

It was a really good game and we have fun trying it. It fostered teamwork and bonded our team close together with everyone working towards one common goal. The game also encouraged creative thinking,  I think our group tried all sort of ways to find the clues.
