Dinner Gathering at Leng Saap Golden Mile Tower

It has been awhile since I last met my friends, hence we decided to call for a dinner meetup amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. We had our dinner date set at Leng Saap.

Leng Saap is a Thai eatery located at the basement of Golden Mile Tower. Leng Saap in Thai means Spicy Pork Spine Soup which is also the signature dish for this eatery. Leng Saap can also be found at Rot Fai Market in Bangkok. Talking about this makes me miss going to Bangkok.

I ordered Homemade Thai Milk Tea ($2.67) where the sweetness was just nice for me. Thai Milk Tea is always a must order for me whenever I see it in the menu, I love the signature strong brew milk tea taste.

This is size L version of Pork Spine Soup ($26.75) which is suitable for 3 pax, this is Thailand’s version of Bak Ku Teh. For spice level, we opt for medium. The size range from size M - 2pax ($19.26) to XXL - 7 to 8 pax ($58.85).

The pork spines were stacked up forming a mountain, the dish definitely stolen the limelight when served.

The clear soup looked like it will not pose any threat but when we have our first sip, we could feel the heat from the soup that will leave a sensation lingered at our throat. The subsequent sips of the soup got us hooked with the rich flavour.

The pork spine was soaked with the broth, making it tasted fragrant and not too hard, where the meat can be easily tear off with the fork.

Fried Prawns with Garlic. The fresh prawns were succulent.

My favourite was Fried Shrimp Pancake ($12.84). The shrimp filling was encased in a crispy skin, making it a little crunchy when bite.

I love the crispy exterior of the Fried Shrimp Pancake and dipping it with the chilli sauce which gave a sweet and hot flavour to the dish.

The Kang Kong on the other hand was crunchy and the spice level was not too overwhelming. It was stir fried together with chilli padi and garlic.

It was a great dining experience at Leng Saap with delicious food and friendly staff serving us, we paid about $22 per pax. The combination of aromatic broth and generous portion of pork spine was just so comforting to have after a long day at work, totally recommended to have with a group of friends.
