Visited Straits Bakery two days in a row, bringing different groups to try it out. The restaurant has carefully choose their furnishings and decorated the area with strong Peranakan vibes.
I have been wanting to try their Curry Chicken Set ($9.80 nett). The spice level was moderate and the chicken was well coated with the curry, bring a burst of flavour. I wish they could add more curry gravy so that I can coat it with the rice too.

Peranakan cuisine seems to be making a comeback in Singapore.
I have chosen Fried Sambal Hanjuku Egg and Ngoh Hiang for my sides. The egg was flavourful with the exterior being coated with sambal for spicy kick.
Tuesday 9/5/23
We went Funan for lunch and settled on Afuri Ramen. It feels like ages since I savored a bowl of ramen. The chilli gave sufficient kick to a spicy broth, making the broth a delicious one. Give the ramen a thorough stir before indulging for the best flavors to meld.
