Happenings in February & March - Café Q

Saturday 9/3/24

I went for an early dinner at Ichiban Boshi. I had Tendon ($15.90++) where the rice bowl was filled with fried prawn, poached egg and assorted vegetables. Each piece revealed a crunchy exterior and tender interior, the addition of sweet sauce balanced the dryness of the fried components.

Ended off with Vanilla Ice Cream ($2.90++). Their menu price was quite wallet friendly, making Ichiban Boshi a regular dine out place for us.

Wednesday 13/3/24

I was being introduced to Café Q Classified at VivoCity, a floral themed cafe.

Decked in purple and white furnishings,  Café Q caught our attention right away when we passed by the store. We were drawn by the aesthetic of the space that was decorated with flowers and plush purple couches, creating an inviting atmosphere that put us at ease. They are having weekday $15.80++ lunch promotion for a drink and main course.

All of us got Passion Honey Lime Cooler. It was a great thirst quencher with a mixture of sweetness from honey and sour notes from lime. There were passionfruit seeds in it too.

The Prawn Aglio Olio came with generous portion of tiger prawns, I have at least 4 to 5 prawns. The pasta was decent but slightly towards the spicy side, I have to scooped away all the chili. Lucky I had a drink to ease the spiciness.

Thursday 14/3/24

I made a revisit to Hoshino @ Chinatown Point for lunch, tried something new this time.

I had Pork Curry Omurice with Fries which was flavourful. With each scoop of curry paired with the  rice, I was treated to a symphony of flavours. The spiciness was just right and not overpowering, allowing me to enjoy the dish without feeling overwhelmed.
