Seasons Of Bloom At Flower Dome Gardens By The Bay

The cooling weather made it a perfect afternoon for exploration. I brought the girls to Gardens by the Bay for a relaxing stroll around the park. It was definitely a popular place among the local and tourists even on a weekday.

Despite being here for countless of times, I could never get tired of the breathtaking scenery. The view just got me excited to begin my day ahead.

The Seasons of Bloom theme showcased floral display from all seasons as well as Christmas decorations. I could feel the Christmas atmosphere right from the entrance of Flower Dome.
Immerse ourselves in the festive charm where we felt like we were being transported into another world, to a place closer to Santa's hideaway and a city full of greenery.
We spotted Winnie the Pooh and Piglet, the Gorse Fairies. One thing we like about Flower Dome was able to stroll away in aircon, making our time here cooling and enjoyable.

Visiting the house of Santa Clause. The colourful decoration and flowers added liveliness to the holiday season collection. The different decorations made the area feel like an enchanted fairytale land when put together. Everywhere lead us to beautiful discovery.

Happenings in September - Food + Gardens By The Bay

Work has been really busy for me since the start of September. I have been staying back till late almost everyday for 2 weeks. I stayed until 9 - 10pm until I was the last soul to go back. Not really nice to stay behind after 8pm because air-con was off and office was so quiet but some "noise" can be heard. Argh, hope this month will pass fast.

I know I haven't been updating my blog as regularly as before, I was busy juggling my work, attending night classes, meeting school assignments deadline, out for gathering and etc. So here I am, squeezing out some precious time to update some of the things I did lately.

Thursday 8/9/16

Head down to Vivo for lunch again. We really have lots of joy catching pokemon here yesterday. First time catching so many Magikarp. I need many many Magikarp to evolve into Gyarados.

Roaming around the sky park with our eyes glued to the phone, ready to exercise our fingers when there was vibration alert.

Dragging my feet when heading back to office, ready for another day of long hours of work.

Sunday 11/9/16

Finally I have endured the work week. Things have been quite overwhelming for the past weeks, I felt so despair, lost and incompetent. So thankful that my friends were with me and dragged me out for the past 2 days. Coming out made me leave all worries behind.

Settled one part of my work in the afternoon before heading out.
Hanging out with friends always make me feel good rather than coping at home. Unless I really have to other school assignments to rush, if not I don't like to spend my day at home.

Decided to visit Gardens by the Bay.
I haven't been here for quite awhile, my last visit was in last December. I love coming here, taking a stroll by the pond, admiring the nature and exploring around.

This weekend was a week for greenery. Yesterday I went vegetable farm and today was Gardens by the Bay. Having been to Gardens by the Bay countless of time, I have not been to OCBC Skyway. We decided to head up to check out the view from the skyway.

Wow, we were standing at 22 metres above ground and surrounded by panoramic vistas of the Gardens and Marina Bay skyline. Indeed a scenic stroll.

In the heart of the nature.

Looking at the beautiful scenery and taking a stroll around the garden really helped in de-stress, I felt so much better. Energy recharged.

We have our dinner at Menzo Butao @ The Dining Edition.
I have the curry cutlet curry rice with fries. The portion was huge and I couldn't finish eating it by myself.

Thursday 29/9/16

Met up with GF and Linda for dinner at VivoCity. Linda wanted to try Monster Curry and here we were at Monster Curry. We waited for more than half an hour before we could get a seat. The 3 of us ordered 2 mega portion of curry rice for sharing. The portion was so huge that we couldn't clear finish all.

We ordered sea monster and combo curry.

Monster Curry is the only Japanese restaurant in Singapore to serve a “demi-glace” curry sauce, marked by a rich and deeply flavourful brown sauce. Monster Curry serves all its dishes at five different levels of spiciness. We requested level one spice for both dishes.

GF was just back from her overseas trip and she got both of us some souvenirs from Melbourne. Thanks GF for always buying gifts for me whenever you travel overseas, thinking of us when you are abroad.

It was a nice gathering session with the girls, updating each other about our life.

Outing to Future Of Us Exhibition at Gardens By The Bay

Managed to meet  up with our poly peers just before the end of 2015. It's been a long time since we last hung out with full strength, the last gathering with the presence of 5 of us was in April 2015. Wow, that was like 8 months ago. Everyone is busy with their own stuffs - studies, work, travel etc. Time flies without us knowing.

We met up for lunch at The Coffee Bean @ Marina Square. The standard was quite disappointing for both the food and drinks. Initially we wanted to eat Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe, but we discovered it has been closed down.

After our lunch, we made our way to Gardens by the Bay. On our way, we past by The Float and saw all the Wishing Sphere in the sea. They looked so beautiful floating on the sea.

We were here for The Future of Us’ exhibition.
‘The Future of Us’ exhibition is an immersive and multi-sensory experience that offers a glimpse into the possibilities of how Singaporeans can live, work, play, care and learn in 15 years time, 2030.

The Future of Us exhibition features the future of Singapore in six immersive and interactive zones.
Immerse in a show projected on LED screens.

In the zone for 'Home Tomorrow'.
A glimpse of the changes in our committees and daily life.

It was a pretty short exhibition, we finished touring within half an hour for the indoor.
Time to proceed outdoor for The Lion Playground.

The adult got super excited at the sight of swing. Steffi was the one to go.
We took turn to play with the swing, reminiscing the childhood times. It was so hard to find swing in playground nowadays.

I was the second to go.

Mix feeling about growing up. How I wish I could be young again where my life is carefree and my only worry is to score well for exam. Life has become complicated when you grow up.

Christine was next.
She was always camera ready. Knowing I was taking photo of her, she paused to let me have a photo.

We decided not to halt the swing for too long there are kids who wanted to play with it.

OOTD with the ladies and the lion.
Enjoying our time spent together. Though we didn't see each other often, my friendship are still as close as ever. No awkwardness between us.

Chan Lin, Christine and Steffi.

With my beloved Grace.
She is someone whom I can count on when I encounter problems.

The girls were standing in their rightful position according to height - do, re mi.

Chan Lin and I got a solo picture of our own.

With Christine.

Since the time was still early, we decided to pop by to visit Christmas Wonderland which was also inside Gardens by the Bay.

We walked to the Christmas Wonderland.

Steffi kept telling us that she wanted to take the Carousel. Sadly, it will not be open until evening time.
Nothing much to see in the day time.

Shall end my post with a stunning landscape of Gardens by the Bay.

This is how I wish my weekend will be. Enjoy quality time spend with friends over a meal and outing.
Thanks for reading.

Christmas Winter Wonderland @ Gardens by the Bay

Tis' the season to be jolly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Hope you guys have a lovely Christmas just like me. For me, I spent my Christmas with my lovely girls for an outing to Gardens by the Bay. Thanks Jasmine for the tickets.

Having been to Gardens by the Bay for a number of times, I have never been to Cloud Forest. Jas got us the tickets to both Cloud Forest and Flower Dome. So excited for it.

Here to our first stop: Cloud Forest

With Claressa, GF, me, Jasmine in front of the waterfall.
Cloud Forest is a mysterious world veiled in mist.

Upon entering, you can see a 5-metre tall mountain covered in lush vegetation shrouding the world’s tallest indoor waterfall showcases plant life from tropical highlands up to 2,000-metres above sea level.

A glimpse of the walkway that we will be walking on later.
Gonna take a lift up to access to the mountaintop.

Breathtaking scenery at Lost World.
Immerse in the greenery surrounding.

Flower Power.

With Claressa. Miss her so much, I haven't seen her for a few months.

With Jasmine. She has just dye her hair with brown and pink. It looks good on her.

Thanks Jasmine for the photo.
I'm glad to know these bunch of girls in my life. We shared many great memories together.

Next, we moved on to Flower Dome.
Flower Dome was being transformed into a wintry wonderland with temperatures to match, as a glistening tower gleams in a realm of dreams. I'm feeling the Christmas mode now.

Welcome to the Christmas Wonderland at the Gardens.
I have arrived at the charming little town adorned with poinsettias and Christmas trees.

Terry bear hanging on the Christmas tree.

I love this photo of us the most.

With GF. Both of us dressed in similar outfit that day.

So cute, the bear in sock.

We found a fireplace for the wintry usage, something that we need in the chilling Flower Dome.

We have lots of fun posing for photos.

Thanks Jasmine for the tickets. It was a day well spent with the awesome girls. Hope we have more outings ahead in 2015.

Seeing all the cute decorations make me happy. I'm falling in love with the season.

I have joined Santa Claus and the reindeer in delivering Christmas gifts. Are you one of the lucky few that received my gifts?

The background was too beautiful that you couldn't resist photo spamming. I have too many shots over here.

Merry Christmas, everyone.
May it be a joyful one and Happy New Year.
