G-r-a-d-u-a-t-i-o-n-♥

Rise early and prepare myself for the big day ahead ♥

Ngee Ann Polytechnic Graduation Ceremony 2011
1.00pm at Ngee Ann Convention Centre.

As usual, Grace was the latest. Really want to smack her ass man!

Before we headed to our respective LT:

Here’s a photo with Steffi. She loves this photo the best because she looked nice in it. Of course, must see who is the photographer ma.

After we were being brief on the procedures, we were being brought to the convention centre.

When we were walking down the stairs, all eyes of parents were on us, trying to spot their child.

Settling down. We were seated quite in front so we must be one of those earliest to go up the stage.

At the start of the ceremony, we had to rise and sing our national anthem. I heard many laughing away, especially the one behind me who was saying something like “So long never sing, almost forget how to sing.”

Don’t know how to sing, then don’t call yourself Singaporean.

Oh, National Day is slowly approaching, how I wish I got get the ticket to see the parade where everyone is united as one ♥

The speaker and also the prize giver.

The ceremony took nearly 2 hours to finish. We had reach the end of the journey, 3 years just passed in a blink of an eye. We are beginning a new chapter in our life.
毕业就是失业的开始

After the ceremony, we headed out for some phototaking session with my peers. Had not seen many of them for nearly 9 months!

With Grace and Maggie.

Seeing them remind me of those good old times where we lunched together, chiong projects together till 10pm………

My Year 2 Sem 1 classmates.

I kept telling my friends that our graduation attire looked like harry potter’s school robes. Do you think so? Deathly Hallows part 2 is coming, I’m waiting for it ♥

Seeing more and more familiar faces.

Another photos with Steffi. My buddies of the day ♥

Graduands with family and friends.

With Siting. My first poly mate.

With Rachel. My Year 1 Sem 1 classmate (:

She is becoming more and more chio.

With Wan Ting and Nicolette (:

With Lee Sheng (: My Year 1 mates.

And also Shi Lin (:

Arrgh, cannot stand it anymore. It’s so hot wearing the attire around. So Steffi and I went to return our attire and collect our deposit. With the additional money, it’s time to fill our tummy with food. Only had bread in the morning. Didn’t eat much during refreshment as the convention centre was so crowded and also busying taking photos.

Made our way down to Dhoby Ghast to have our dinner.

Ir’s Just Acia again.

We were addicted to the ice-cream. We settled down at the store for a good 2 hours chit-chatting – basically we chat anything under the sun (:

It’s been a long day for us. Our feet hurt wearing the heel all day. Time to head back home and rest (:

Those days – a memory that will be remembered ♥

Happenings in May - PAP Rally + Gala Premiere of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES”

Wednesday 4/5/11

Today is the second last day for rallies before the cooling-off day.

Met up with CL after work to catch a rally. My friends don’t really interested in going for rally or politics They preferred to watch online rather than squeeze with the crowds. For me, I preferred to watch live. Only at live, you could feel the atmosphere and trigger your emotions, be it the excitement, anger, happiness or sadness.

Arriving at PAP rally at the Delta Hockey Pitch.
Who’s up on the banner?
Is Mr Sam Tan Chin Song.

Mr Tan is also the senior parliamentary secretary for the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

I know the crowds are nothing compared to Workers’ Party rally. I guessed the reason is because PAP really addressed to the issues arising, tell us their plans. People may tend to find this boring compared to Workers’ Party who always have the power to draw so much crowds and agitating the crowds.

Have you guys already have candidates in mind on who to vote during polling day? If no, you should really take this time to consider and research on the 5 years plan that each party has come up with. Choose the one that could really do the job, not the one who can talk.

Monday 16/5/11

I was feeling thrilled when I know I was invited to the 3D Gala Preimere of “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” and the grand opening of the Shaw Theatres Lido.

Shaw Theatres Lido is finally reopened after undergoing a 7 months renovation.

Lido Imax: Singapore first IMAX 3D blockbuster which provide the world’s most immersive movie experience.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides captures the fun, excitement and humour that ignited the hit this time in Disney3D.

Invited Neu Syhan along with me.

I seriously love Lido Imax. The seat is so comfortable, I felt so relax just by sitting at the seat while waiting for the show to begin. What’s so special about the new Shaw Lido is that there is head support at every seat and the seating decks are steeper, there is no need to worry that the audience in front will block your screen (:

Overall, it’s a great experience watching at Lido Imax with the awesome visual effects.

What I like about the movie: of course is the mermaids scene.

Astrid Berges-Frisbey playing the role of mermaid Syrena.

Don’t be charm by their beautiful appearance, they are actually a group of fierce, shark-jawed mermaids who lure the pirates to a watery grave.

Syrena was being captured by the pirates as a mermaid’s tear is a vital ingredient of the potion required for the secret of youth. The young missionary, Philip, who protect her throughout. So sweet ♥

Syrena and Philip fell in love with one another ♥
A great movie which I rate 4.5/5

Catch Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides to join him in his dangerous adventure and on board the Queen Anne’s Revenge ship to the Fountain of Youth together with zombies, Blackbeard, Angelina and also the battle with mermaids at Whitecap Bay.

A date with Kissjane

I was inivited to an intimate session with Kissjane at MOF Lenas.

This session introduces the upcoming Kissjane in the Singapore fashion retail industry, and shares topics such as the latest trends, understanding which colour suits you best and how we can play with colours to inject new life into our wardrobe and bring out the style in us!

As the staffs were still in preparation, so we seated at outside for awhile. Lenas’ service was excellent, drinks were immediately served to us (:

Shortly after that, we were being led inside.

Upon settling down, I’m instantly drawn to the sweet detail on the table mat – “I’M A KISSJANE BLOGGER”

A lovely pink stage.

Kissjane proudly present to you: Kaleidoscopic of colours

Without further ado, lets invite the celebrity fashion stylist, Trey Wong, on stage to uncover Kissjane:

First and foremost, Trey touched on the summer fashion trends of 2011: color play, stripes and polka dots!

Have you already notice the trends?

Are you someone who likes playing with colours? How do we know which colour suites us the best?

Trey has mentioned that most Asians skin tone fall into the category of winter and spring season. (The emcee was so funny, she was saying that winter is one who never see the sun and springh is one who is always in the sun xD )

Winter skin tone suites sharp colours such as black, white, navy blue and spring skin tone suites warm colours.

So after the valuable talk, it’s time for some hands on practice. 2 bloggers were invited up for demostration. They had to select an outfit from the colourful Kissjane’s rack and tell us why they chose the colour/outfit.

A little background about Kissjane:

Kissjane multi brand boutique concept combined all the best collections of local blog shops (Little Red Heels, Missy Pixie, Runway Diva, Rivervale, Tracyeinny, The Scarlet Room and etc) under one brand.

Its online shopping without the online. Isn’t it cool?

Kissjane brings the variety and affordability of online shopping into a retail store. Every collection found here is a “limited edition” and it is changed every 2 weeks. It has more than 1,000 collections from 23 blogshops totalling an estimated 18,000 designs changes a year.

There will be no more embarrass moment of facing someone wearing exactly the same dress as you. Kissjane provides a wide selection catered to just every shopper’s needs – you will find exclusive design pieces for fun, play, work and even plus sizes.

What’s even better is that their clothes are priced ideally with the price range from $20 – 40+

Visit their 2 outlets at Bugis Junction #03-13A and Citylink Mall #B1-39

Gonna make my way down too, I’m in need of CLOTHES (:

The 2 bloggers were back.

Love both of their outfits. Red always look good whenever it goes with black. The yellow dress is pretty too. It looked perfect with the belt on.

How could we improve on their dressing?

A yellow blazor. I find that a blazor is a great fashion accessory that can enhance your overall dressing. Colour blocking trend is back in 2011.

Trey and Kissjane have been a great host:

You can see it from the smile of the bloggers (:

The sharing session with Trey has come to an end.

It’s time to take a break and enjoy the food specially prepared by MOF Lenas:

Ice Mint Tea ♥

Start off with some garlic toasts. The toast was very crunchy.

More toasts on the way.

With Emily.

Savouring the handmade thin crust gourmet pizzas. Simply mouthwatering ♥

Thanks Lenas for the great hospitality and the wide spread of delicious food ♥ I absolutely love it.

Some of the products used are:

“That gal”

It’s actually a brightening face primer which takes your complexion from dull to darling, brightening up our skin tone.

“Posie Tint”

This is a two-in-one product. It’s a poppy-pink tinted lip & cheek stain. Liqui-gel formula blends to just-picked perfection on all complexions and it’s long lasting. I love the rosy pink effect ♥

“High Beam”

A luminescent complexion enhancer which make us look perfectly radiant. It is suitable on all skintones. It can Can be used as a spot highlighter or delicately blended all over your complexion.

We ended off the lovely session with sweet dessert from Lenas:

Chocolate Fondue ♥ I love it, especially the rich taste of chocolate.

The happy girl went home with her goodies bag ♥
