The zombie apocalypse has broke out in South Korea.
Being a fan of zombie apocalypse film, 'Train to Busan' is definitely a movie that I wouldn't want to miss. The degree of gruesome and anticipation of what's awaiting the survivors does not loss out to any other zombie outbreak films.
The story started off with the the scene of a workaholic divorced father, Seok Woo (Played by Gong Yoo) and his daughter, Su-an (Played by Kim Su-an). The movie also starred Ahn So-hee, the former member of Wonder Girls. It was Su-an birthday and her wish was to visit her mother in Busan. Seok Woo has no choice but to bring his daughter there. During their journey on the high speed train to Busan, the deadly viral outbreak started to occur and pushed Korea into a state of emergency.
An ill looking girl has boarded the train before the door closed. Shortly after that, she turned into a zombie. The zombie apocalypse began when the zombie claimed her first victim and turned the victim turned within seconds into zombie.
The plot of the movie was quite predictable. I kept telling my friend what I think will happen next and it really did. There was never a boring moment, I was feeling intense throughout the movie because of the visual effects and anticipating the next move. The degree of gruesome is still all right, but too extreme as compared to the American zombie apocalypse. Instead, it focused more on human touch, how people reacted.
Through the emergency period, we witnessed all kinds of characters - leader, cowardice, hypocrites and noble. Some sacrifices their lives to save the others.
The movie is NC16 and not suitable for people who dislike gruesome scenes.

It's our nation 51st birthday and also a public holiday. Public holiday is what everyone is looking forward to regardless you are studying or working.
Thanks to Helen, I have complimentary movie tickets for Ghostbusters. Met up with J for movie at Plaza Singapura.
Ghostbusters is a reboot of the previous Ghostbuster films, it has now become a female squad.
Erin Gilbert and Abby Yates wrote a book that proposes the existence of ghosts. A few years later, Erin becomes a lecturer at Columbia University At this moment, her book resurfaces, making her the laughing stock of the university.
After Manhattan city is invaded by ghosts, proving her belief is real all along, Erin reunites with Abby, and teams up with a nuclear engineer, Jillian Holtzmann, and a subway worker, Patty Tolan, to save the world from an evil and powerful demon.
It was quite a funny and entertaining movie. I enjoyed watching the movie and laughing away, it's nothing scary at all.
After the movie, I went back home to freshen up before making my way down to my cousin's place for gathering and dinner.
Curry chicken with roti was my favourite.

It was a nice and simple gathering with my family.

Finally weekend was here again.
So sian, my weekend is always packed with rushing assignment deadline. Hence, I decided to take a little break and head out for a satisfying meal.
J chanced upon the buffet deal of $37.90 on facebook, so here we were at Jackpot K Seafood & Cheese BBQ Buffet located at Golden Mile Complex. Recommended to make your reservation first before heading down.
One of their specialties is the nacho cheese sauce and omelette that surrounded the pan.
The cheese sauce dip was great to go with.
Throughout the buffet, we just kept taking the crayfish because that was like the nicest among all. The food was pretty average, nothing special to shout out.
Ended off my meal with cookie and cream ice-cream.
I love catching up with friend over a good meal, enjoying the food while chatting away. Overall, it was still a pretty decent dining.

Ready to head to school.
I was having weekend class that Saturday from 12pm to 3pm. So dragging to go school on weekend, especially when I know there will be classroom activity and discussion awaiting me.
After my class, I went over to Westgate to meet KP for nom nom and shopping.
KP brought me to Nunsaram Korean Dessert Cafe to try out their bingsu. The cafe is specialised in korean style snowflake Bingsu.
This was my second time trying out bingsu.
I decided to go for oreo bingsu.
The portion is good for sharing between 2 pax.
We top up to add a scoop of chocolate ice-cream. I'm in love with their bingsu, the ice was very smooth and sweet. I like how the ice melted in my mouth, leaving a sweet and flavoursome finish. Every bite tasted so delicious.
Thanks KP for the belated birthday bingsu treat. I love the oreo bingsu a lot.
