Happenings in April - BePlain BHA Peeling Ampoule + Yves Rocher Hair Care + JB Food Trip

Sunday 7/4/19

Having a sudden urge to get a haircut, I went for a haircut at a neighbourhood salon. I have a haircut plus hair wash at $26. I love having my hair washed at hair salon, the head massage was so comfortable.

I chopped off a fair bits of my hair till shoulder length. How does my new hairstyle look?
Do you prefer me in longer hair or shorter hair?

BePlain BHA peeling ampoule is a night skincare product that I used daily which aids providing mild exfoliation in softening dead skin cells and bringing recovery cycle back. The ampoule contains BHA and green tea water, suitable for all skin types.

After toning my skin, I apply BePlain BHA peeling ampoule onto my skin followed by moisturiser. Do note that this is only to be applied in the night. Night time is the best time for skin recovery.

The ampoule has a watery texture which is fast absorb into skin. It helped to clean up the dirt that still remains on my skin and allows better absorption of the moisturiser.

With only a week of using the ampoule, my dull and rough skin has become smoother and even skin tone with the dead skin being got rid.

On top of BePlain BHA peeling ampoule , I pampered my skin with BePlain Bamboo Healing Mask to calm and moisturise my skin. My skin feels supple after the use and my skin condition has improved.

Thanks 0.8L Singapore for sending me the lovely products.

Friday 12/4/19

Knowing that I am looking around for hair conditioner, GF passed me some of her hair products to use. I'm so glad that one of them is hair conditioner, it comes just in handy to replace the one I have finished using. Hair care products from Yves Rocher, this is my first time using their products.

Nutri-Repair Conditioner is a product specially developed for very dry or damaged hair, it contains Jojoba oil which nourish the hair fiber resulting in stronger hair.

Saturday 13/4/19

Here comes my first trip of the year. I have been caught up in work especially from March till now. Not only me, my buddy, Linda, was also drained up at work. We decided to find a Saturday that we are free and head in to Johor Bahru (JB) for a food and shopping trip.

We met up at 11.15am at Kranji Station and reached JB City Square at 1.30pn. The first thing we did was to check out Eureka store to purchase popcorn. I cannot believe that now we must queue to buy popcorn and they no longer provide sampling. Eureka is very popular among Singaporeans, you can tell all the people queuing are Singaporeans. Waiting time was about 10 minutes. Moreover, many flavours are already out of stock. Each popcorn was RM12.90 (or S$4.30).

After we purchased the popcorn, we went Nyonya Leaf for lunch because we missed the food and I ordered back the same thing.

It was nearly 2pm, finally we can have our lunch. Linda has Mee Siam and Rendang Chicken while I have Fried Rice with Curry Chicken. We also ordered Cucur Udang for sharing. The lunch bill was RM29.90 (or S$10).

Linda suggested to go KSL for shopping as there are more shops over there, hence we took a bus to KSL from JB Sentral. The bus fare was RM1.50.

Feeling thirsty, we went to Blackball to ease our thirst with Boba Milk Tea at RM7.20 (or S$2.40). It has been awhile since I last drink Bubble Tea, I have been craving for it. Cravings satisfied.

It has been 1.5 months since we last meet up, we used the drinking time to catch up. We sat for an hour to share some of our unhappiness. Sharing thoughts to friends who understand my situation makes me feel better. It's unhealthy to bottle up everything no matter how strong a person is.

We have a 2 hours shopping after the rest, I got some items from Watson and Guardian. I also brought Linda to my favourite Coconut Ice Cream stall where we bought coconut ice cream cone at RM2 (or S$0.67).

We managed to catch the 6.40pm bus back to JB Sentral. We were feeling tired from the hours of walking. Finally we can sat down and rest our tired feet.

We didn't brought a lot of money in, so by dinner time, we become cautious on our spending as we didn't left much money. I brought Linda to 徐师傅台湾小吃 for dinner, a place that she has not tried before.

As I was here before, I highly recommended Minced Meat Rice, both of us enjoyed the bowl of delicious and valuable Minced Meat Rice.

We ordered XXL Crispy Chicken to along with our rice. The Crispy Chicken has a crispy and crunchy exterior while the interior was juicy. Underneath the skin was a layer of fats that was so soft that it will melt in the mouth. It tasted a little salty but still flavourful.

The dinner bill was RM31.55 (or S$10.52).

We left JB immediately after our dinner at about 8.15pm. However, the checkpoint was already jam with crowds and we queued for 2 hours before we managed to get our passport chopped. The jam was a nightmare, but this will not stopped us from coming in to JB again.

Monday 15/4/19

I injured my foot yesterday when I woke up from nap, I tried to get up from bed but my feet were numb and I keel over. I sprained my ankle and toe which are now swollen. Hope I have a speedy recovery.

Wednesday 24/4/19

Today I joined Mee Ing and Rachel for lunch and we went to Saizeriya @ Liang Court.

I have Chicken Doria at $4.90. I love dining at Saizeriya because we get to enjoy Italian food at such an affordable price. It was always a joyful affair to have lunch with them because we have so much things to say.

Thursday 25/4/19

I met up with Meryl after work at Paragon, I was glad that I managed to reach on time because I was afraid that my work will cause delay.

I joined Meryl at Her World x Pretty Ballerinas Ella customization event. During the event, we got to customize our own scented candle tablet.

We started off by choosing the tablet shape and floral petals that we wanted, I opt for the purple petals and rose essential oil flavour.

After we were done with our customization, we needed to wait another 20-25 minutes for the candle wax to dry up.

The end product of my scented candle tablet.

After the collection, we walked over to Orchard MRT Station to have Popeyes for our late dinner. It was a nice gathering where we catch up on past months happenings. My last meetup with her was in January.

Friday 26/4/19

It was a very tight day for me, I was supposed to meetup GF for an early dinner at Takashimaya but I was caught up in my work again and reach in the nick of time for the beauty workshop.

We were treated to some light bites from Paris Baguette before the workshop began proper. The food was tasty and portion was just nice for me.

I joined GF for DECORTE Beauty Workshop together where we got to try out their product range starting from skincare to makeup. Thanks GF for asking me along, this week is an eventful meet up with the girls.

This marks the end of my April updates, good bye.
