Food Review: Overly Cheezy Pizzeria Singapore Delivery

Stay home days give me the reason to opt for food delivery so that my family can try out different variety of food in the comfort of home. On national day long week where everybody were home in the afternoon, we had pizza delivery from Overly Cheezy Pizzeria, we always like to have something delicious to end off the weekend.

Introducing the new kid on the block located within the heartlands of Hougang, Overly Cheezy.

Now that we are unable to travel, why not tap on Overly Cheezy to bring us the taste from travel with expert chefs from Japanese, Italian, French and Singapore, creating fusion pizza with a local twist?

Overly Cheezy is available for self pick up from the outlet and delivery (for order $21 and above). Delivery fees starts from $4 and the price is dependable on the delivery zone.

The delivery time slot was supposed to be 1pm to 2pm. However, due to overwhelming orders on public holiday, my delivery was late. I guess this is an exceptional case as my area is actually far from the outlet.

Thanks Overly Cheezy for the collaboration and sending over the food to me for try out.
Here's our spreads consisting of 2 sides dishes, 2 pizzas and 2 desserts.

Let's dig in.

Pizzas
Overly Cheezy is currently having a hot deal promotion where we can get 2 Regular For $22 or 2 Large For $33, there will be additional surcharge on specific pizzas. This is very worth it because a regular pizza is priced at $21.90 to $26.90 and a large pizza is priced at $32.90 to $39.40.

Though Overly Cheezy uses premium ingredients for their food, it does not come with premium price tag which make it pocket friendly for us.

I had 2 large pizzas which comes with 8 slices each.

I like their cheese look alike packaging, so creative.
Overly Cheezy is the first pizzeria in Singapore to use five different premium and unique cheeses on every pizza - mozzarella, gruyere, cheddar orange, parmesan and emmental.

Besides that, they invented two unique pizza crusts to accompany the unique flavours – the Creamy Tomato and the Milky Avocado Crust. Hearing it already feel the uniqueness, I can imagine eating it must be bursting with flavour.

We tried one of the best sellers pizza, Trufflicious Hawaiian.
The thin crust pizza is toppled with chicken ham, juicy pineapple, parsley flakes and creamy white truffle sauce.

I was attracted by the yellowish base pastry sitting on the thin crust pizza. It contained chunks of chicken ham and tangy pineapple. The richness of the cheese and the truffle oil blended well together, highlighting the unique taste of the ingredients in it. The truffle scent was just perfect and not too overpowering.

We had Hokkaido Teri-Chiki for our second pizza.
I actually preferred this pizza which was toppled with Japanese styled marinated soft chicken thigh, leek and parsley flakes, drizzled with homemade sweet teriyaki sauce and mayonnaise. The Japanese fusion pizza is just so different from the other pizzas that I had before.

The terriyaki sauce and mayonnaise sauce were evenly coated on every slice of the pizza, creating a flavourful, savoury and sweet taste, but not to the extend that will make you feel jelat. The cheesy base complemented well with the ingredients too. Each distinct cheese flavour tasted like the National Day parade fireworks in our mouth.

The highlight of the pizza is definitely the flaky light pastry crust that was so crunchy upon bite while the dough was creamy rich and chewy. The crunch can be heard when I bite on it, you can imagine how crispy the crust is.

Sides Dishes
We opt for Cheezy Salted Egg Fries ($7.90) and 6 Pieces Wings ($10.90) among the 4 side dishes available. The other 2 selections are Criss Cut Fries and Garlic Bread.

The fries had a mild taste of  salted egg york coated on the exterior of the fries, it was good to savour on its own or you can dip it with the cheese sauce accompanied with the fries for enhanced taste.

The wings were fried till golden brown and the skin had a crackle when we bite upon it.

Beneath the crispy skin revealed the juicy, moist and the tender meat. I love the flavouring of the marinated wings too, very delicious.

Desserts

We ended off the meal with desserts, just perfect for my sweet tooth. We had Belgium Chocolate and Hokkaido Matcha Lava Cakes ($8.90 each).

My style of eating a lava cake is to cut open the from the cake from the centre and let the matacha laval flow out.

I love that the sweet and bitter notes of the matcha lava cake was just right. The cake was moist and tasted appetising when coated it with the warm matcha lava, savouring the taste while letting it dissolved in my mouth.

During this tough times, let's show some support to our local pizza business.
Overly Cheezy has a wide range of pizza choices that will definitely satisfy your cravings with their unique 5-cheese recipe.
